James Frey
Oh, dear. Right now I'd hate to be in James Frey's shoes. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. The man is bright, though. When he was on my show, he was smart and witty and compassionate. He sounded honest. Wouldn't he figure that any lies would be uncovered at some point? I don't get it. Oy vey.

The thing about his interview on your show that stuck with me was the way he worked for years to find his voice. Despite how all this has shaken down (and I'm shocked about the uproar, seriously--are people so elated to have a popular adult book {read--not Harry Potter} that they take its "100% truth" claim this much to heart?), I still draw some inspiration from his visit on your show.
Frankly, I'm not interested in drug addiction at this point, so I have no desire to ever read his book.
Love your show and your blog.
